Communications

Our operations team consists of dispatch and communications staff that is available 24/7, 365 days per year. Each of our team members have completed our comprehensive internal training program. Upon completion, our staff are capable of utilizing our in-house programs such as TruckMate and PeopleNet.

Truckload and LTL

CPX provides both full truckload (TL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) services throughout many areas of North America specializing on the US I-5 corridor and Western Canada. With a combination of daily dedicated and versatile departure schedules for all lanes we can meet any commitment our customers require.

With a particular focus with respect to just-in-time delivery requirements utilizing both single & team expedited service and a diverse trailer fleet we can continually deliver innovative supply chain solutions to exceed our customers' expectations.

A Matter of Degrees

When you require warehousing for temperature sensitive products, you need to know that the facilities are clean, the technologies maintain precise temperature requirements, the inventory tracking systems are advanced and provide transparency into orders, and that orders are accurately prepared exactly when needed.

Our warehousing services deliver on all fronts. We operate 31 distribution centres across Canada, with a combined storage capacity of 118 million cubic feet. All facilities meet HACCP requirements and have on-site CFIA offices and inspection rooms.

Facilities Capabilities

Your product can be stored at a wide range of cold temperatures, ranging from -25°C to +5°C (-13°F to +41°F) (with ambient warehousing also available), and orders for all types of commodities can be prepared on-site. Many sites have rooms that can convert from freezer to cooler (and vice versa), based on your requirements, increasing storage options and flexibility.

Advanced technologies let you:

  • Track any and all product details and formats required
  • Use standard EDI transaction sets (856, 940, 943, 944, and 945) for order receipt, order confirmation, notification of inbound orders, receipt confirmations, inventory adjustment as well as inventory notifications/management and more
  • Enjoy integrated RF capability, enabling a variety of product rotation, inventory control, tracing and order options as clients require
  • Manage lot codes and requirements such as expiry and production dates to ensure product and order quality as well as recall
  • Access unique palletizing, labeling and picking requirements managed through work rules contained within the system
  • View order status and product availability through a client-accessible web portal
  • Employ multiple billing methods, rating and billing units, currencies and frequencies as required; all invoicing is integrated with our ERP financial systems with appropriate auditing

Our brokerage department is a dependable and reliable service provider to the CPX asset division, ensuring we provide our corporate clients with exceptional supply chain solutions.

With our capabilities, CPX is a ‘full service’ business partner within the transportation and logistics industry and a primary service provider within BC, Alberta and the US West Coast region. CPX provides flexible and tailored solutions encompassing TL and LTL services and the necessary warehouse and distribution capacities to augment the over-the-road services.

Drayage and Shunt Services

Our terminal locations in Surrey, Nanaimo, Calgary, and Edmonton allow CPX to provide local options for TL, LTL, and container drayage.

We also provide on-site shunt services for any facility or yard.
