Community Involvement
CPx supports diverse initiatives aimed at making the communities where it operates better and more inclusive places.
Through financial donations provided by the company – and through the active engagement of its employees and their families – CPx supports initiatives benefiting the disabled and disadvantaged, and promoting other aspects of health and well being.
CPx’s signature community project is its annual involvement in the Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay – a fundraiser in support of the Easter Seals Camps for children with disabilities.
CPx staff coordinate fundraising throughout the year in their workplaces, and field a relay team. The company provides further financial support, and also has its barbecue wagon on-site during the relay to provide free food to participants.
Other recent and ongoing community support by CPx has been directed to: the YMCA (whose Surrey, BC facility has a CPx-branded cardio exercise room, in recognition of the company’s generosity); food banks and other initiatives to assist the under-privileged; the Canadian Blood Services; and the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Society.
