CPx Driver Orientation

When you join CPx as a company driver, independent-contractor driver or team driver, the first thing you do won’t be to hit the road – it will be to meet the new team you’ve become part of and learn our procedures and systems.

New drivers of all experience levels begin their time with CPx with an orientation session. The time involved is paid for by the company, and transportation arrangements are made for Alberta-based drivers.

We’ll work with you to complete the various paperwork required both under the Canadian National Safety Code and by the US Department of Transportation. And you’ll begin to get more of a feel for the CPx culture, with a tour of the yard, a close-up look at our equipment, and introductions to your new colleagues.

We provide instruction on use of the CPx on-board satellite and e-log system, and a complete orientation to company-specific paperwork, reefer usage, customer-relations standards and safety practices.
