CPx Driver Orientation

When you join CPx as a company driver or independent-contractor driver, the first thing you do won’t be to hit the road – it will be to meet the new team you’ve become part of.

New drivers of all experience levels begin their time with CPx with a two-day orientation session at the Surrey head office. The time involved is paid for by the company, and transportation arrangements are made for Alberta-based drivers.

On day one, we’ll work with you to complete the various paperwork required both under the Canadian National Safety Code and by the US Department of Transportation. And you’ll begin to get more of a feel for the CPx culture, with a tour of the yard, a close-up look at our equipment, and introductions to your new colleagues.

Day two is spent largely in our on-site classroom. We provide instruction on use of the CPx on-board satellite and e-log system, and a complete orientation to company-specific paperwork, customer-relations standards and safety practices.
